Where is God? - song

As an agnostic, I sometimes wonder; If God is existing, where is he? Over the past year, I have come up with lots of different possibilities and ideas: He’s the voice in the back of our heads, always making us think twice before we do something we know we’re going to regret, or he’s the nature always surrounding us, the sky looking down on us, or the beat in our hearts. An agnostic is someone who is not sure if God exists or not. My belief in God is not entire. Even though I believe in different ideas about where God is, I still have doubts about whether he exists or not. For example, where was he during war, suffering, terrorism, homelessness, and one of the most important issues tearing society apart, racism. Things like these are what make me wonder if there is a God or are we on our own. I have chosen “Where is God?” as my theme, because I think it’s a good opportunity to express my thoughts and ideas in a creative and passionate way by doing the thing I love most: singing. In the chorus of my song, I list all my ideas and possibilities about where God is. I made this my chorus because the chorus is like the main part to a song. The last sentence of the chorus, states “The heart to this song”. Overall, I believe that God doesn’t have to be in a living thing or in a great place, he can be in anything. He could be in the food that gives us life or the songs that give us soul and enjoyment. In Genesis 1, God is said to of created the world and he named it “God’s good earth”. He gave humans the responsibility of looking after his world. I believe God is the essentials we need to make his world good; like food and water to give us life. My song states the common ideas that people believe, then ends with my idea of God providing and being with us in everyday essentials, for us to make his world “good”. I chose to write a song, not only because it’s my passion, because it also represents my idea. I believe God is in every song I sing, giving it passion and giving me the ability to have enjoyment and able to make his world “good”.
