Celebrating creativity and diversity: Spirited Arts competition 2025 showcases global talent
Date: October 2025
Issued by: RE Today Services / NATRE
This year’s Spirited Arts Competition has once again captured the imagination of thousands of pupils, teachers, and schools around the world. Over 3,000 entries were received from around 572 schools, reflecting the exceptional creativity and thoughtfulness of young people engaging with big questions in life, religion, and worldviews.
The most popular theme this year, “Living in a diverse world”, inspired over 800 submissions, encouraging pupils to explore how people live together with difference and respect. The theme “God’s Creatures” followed closely, with around 500 entries, celebrating care for the natural world and all living beings.
In addition to UK entries, the competition welcomed international submissions from Wales, Ireland, the U.S.A., India, Sri Lanka, Cyprus, Indonesia, Gibraltar, Thailand, South Africa, Norway, Vietnam, and Iran, highlighting the truly global reach and relevance of the competition.
