A Ruined Gift: God’s Good Earth

My artwork is all about what is happening to earth and all of the damaging things that we are doing to it. This good earth has been turned bad. God creates everything and gives us our job: to look after it. And it’s now in our hands.

I have represented earth as an ice cream to show climate change. See also (represented as sprinkles!) dropped hands, a dropping syringe, plastic bottle, plastic bag, mask, coronavirus and an axe. These things are happening to the earth. Isn’t ice cream supposed to be a treat? Then why are we ruining it?

This work shows spirituality because it reminds people that the earth is a treat. We should open our eyes and appreciate it before it’s too late. We humans need to start to put earth first, rather than trying to satisfy our own desires. Therefore we need to come together in these times and look after God’s gift.

Earth cannot speak, so we have speak for Earth.
