Waymaker

In this piece of artwork. I have represented a worship song called ‘Waymaker’. I chose to base my art on that song because the chorus says ‘Waymaker, miracle worker, promise keeper, light in the darkness’ and that really reminds me that God will make a way out of corona virus. He works miracles so I’m confident covid19 won’t last forever. I find it such an inspiring song because it reminds me that no matter what the situation, God will provide a way through. It makes me feel full of hope and that I am never alone. Waymaker helps me to connect to God and focus on him, reminds me of different bible stories gives me hope and faith’s reminds me what God is like and that he is good. The bridge of the song talks about how God is always working so we can trust him.

It stirs me to sing my heart out and focus on God alone. In the line that says ‘light in the darkness’, it reminds me that I am a light so I want to help others to connect with God. I chose to do a black background for the darkness so the light would shine brighter. I chose very bright, shine materials to show how much brighter God’s light is than the darkness. I used lots of different colours, textures and sizes of waves to represent the variety of different challenges that come in our lives. There is a path through the waves which reminds me when God parted the Red Sea for the Israelites’ but also represents how God makes a way through the challenges we face in life. The rainbow shows that all the promises God has made in the bible he will keep.
