Course features:

This course is one of a series covering the principal religions and worldviews encountered in the teaching of RE across the United Kingdom.

Course participants will develop their subject knowledge of Sikhi and consider practical approaches to teaching about Sikh religion and worldviews in the primary classroom. The course will explore how different ways of knowing can be used to help pupils engage thoughtfully with Sikhi and develop their understanding through RE.

Participants will consider ideas for teaching and learning, as well as opportunities to support progression in pupils’ understanding of Sikhi across the primary age range.

The course is designed to support primary teachers, subject leaders and others involved in teaching RE, whether they are developing their own knowledge of Sikhi or looking for ideas and approaches to use in the classroom.

This course complements the RE Today publication Exploring Sikh Worldviews, which can be purchased at the time of booking for a reduced rate.
