ERW6 Unit 2: How do stories show things that matter to Buddhists?
About this resource
This unit begins with pupils considering their own values around caring for animals, before being introduced to the Five Precepts. They then explore the story of Prince Siddhartha and the swan, identifying the ‘hidden message’ within the narrative. Pupils go on to consider how this story might inspire some Buddhists to behave, before delving deeper into the Five Precepts and examining the impact they may have on how many Buddhists choose
to live their lives.
