Technical skills, human understanding film clips
About this resource
Film voices: RE for working life brings together short films and employer voices demonstrating how Religious Education develops the knowledge, skills and values young people need across different careers. This secondary RE resource helps teachers connect religion and worldviews learning with employability, vocational education and the world of work.
The collection signposts films featuring people working or studying in areas including construction, health and social care, digital technology and media, engineering, business, law, education and public services. Their experiences illustrate how RE can develop empathy, communication, critical thinking, ethical reasoning, understanding of diversity and the ability to consider different perspectives.
Teachers can use the films to enrich RE lessons, support careers education and help pupils explore the relevance of Religious Education beyond school. The resource includes links and QR codes to selected films and collections, making it easy to introduce authentic workplace and professional voices into classroom learning.
