A sensory prayer for God’s creation.

By 2ND, aged 8 from Le Rondin School

2ND is a class of Year 3 and 4 students with a range of complex needs and are pre verbal. Through a range of RE based sessions, children thought about prayer and then used communication boards to share their ideas. They used different sensory materials to make a tree and then used different tools and craft materials to make the animals. They also listened to the creation story. Working in small groups they were given different quotes from the bible and selected their favourite ones which had been read out by an adult. As a class over a short period of lessons, they created a sensory prayer for God’s creations.
