Green Faith Green Future
We have been investigating “Green Faith, Green Future?” and we have found that it is a very interesting topic. The name we chose for our piece of art is Entwined because it represents that God made all of us and stitched us together (Psalm 139:13-16 “‘ You knit me together in my mother’s womb”).
We chose to make a pillow because for a lot of people they bring comfort – in our class when we showed people the pillow, everyone had the instinct to wrap their arms around it, and we think everyone should treat our world like this and care for it.
Even when our lives are all muddled up, just like a ball of yarn, God will untangle us if we ask for help.
When you look closely at our work, you will see that each crocheted circle represents something from nature, like the swirl of a snail shell (e.g. the light pink swirl) or the folded petal patterns of a rose. Whilst doing our work we discovered that every stitch is different and unique just like every plant, animal and every one of us. We hope people will notice that all of the shapes we crocheted are all different but all equally special.
We have faith that our earth can flourish if we all take care of it and do our part to fight climate change.
