Mohammed Salah

The title I chose is Mohamed Salah as a drew him as a representation of the Muslim religion. The deepest thing about my work is to show when the premier league stopped a game to let Mohamed Salah break his fast to eat a banana and drink some water. The religion that inspired my work is the Muslim religion. This artwork is spiritual because Mo Salah is Muslim and is shown as a famous member of the religion. A quote from the Muslim religion would be “Do not lose hope, nor be sad.” This best represents Mohamed Salah as he never gives up during his football matches and always puts his religion first which was respected by the Premier League. What I like best about my work would be the meaning behind my drawing which shows a very important value to respect people no matter their race, gender or religion. To make this image I used a pencil to first do a light sketch, after I sketched, I used a black pen to outline the image. After I had done this, I shaded and showed beams of light by using a graphite pencil. I used a pencil to fill in the skin of Mohamed Salah to show a bland colour to his skin to show that no matter the colour of someone’s skin they should all be treated equally. I like the theme I have worked on because I am a huge Liverpool fan and Mohamed Salah represents the Muslim religion and is my favourite player. When I made this image, I thought a lot about racism within football which is totally uncalled for and disrespectful. I think this is a problem which is being dealt with well by the F.A but still happens around the world.
