We Can Make a Difference – God’s Good Earth 

The theme for my piece of artwork is God’s good earth with the title we can make a difference because we can make a difference by doing our bit like preventing global warming and getting rid of the plastic in our seas. If everyone played their part, we could help earth more because we cause this problem, so we need to fix it. 

I represented the earth as a flower and the leaves of the flower are falling off, gradually dying. Then I decided to add a watering can with all the things we need in life falling onto the flower and making it grow again. I hope that people will notice that we can do a little bit each day to help our earth like recycling, picking up rubbish from the sea and, possibly, if everyone does just one of these simple things each day or even every week, we could make a difference and help our earth. While I was making this, I thought a lot about how important it is not to destroy the earth. My inspiration came from all the nature programmes and all the wonderful people that help and protect the earth. I like my theme because it ties in with my love of nature and protecting the earth alongside my favourite subject of art. All the religions inspired my piece of artwork because anyone from any religion, young or old, can protect and help save our earth. 

Favourite part of my work are the encouraging words such as hope, peace, kind and love. While doing this piece of artwork it inspired me to do more recycling and more picking up rubbish (even if this isn’t mine!). I hope you enjoyed my artwork and will try to save our earth and remember that together we can make a difference!
