Golden Boy

By Celine, aged 13 from Gordon's School

This is my painting ‘Golden Boy’ which depicts a baby boy, born into a bleak and colourless world being supported by a faceless individual while taking his first steps, the colour coming back into his life, starting at his hands.
The painting was inspired by the theme, ‘hope for the future’. The aim of the painting is to show that no matter where or what you were born into, God will always be there, guiding you as you grow.
The switch from monochrome to colour shows that God can bring colour to the darkest times in peoples’ lives.
I hope this painting can provide faith in our future, knowing that God is watching over us and our youth, guiding them like the figure in the painting.
