Humanism – What is sacred to humanists?

About this resource

This resource explains what is considered “sacred” to Humanists, designed for Key Stage 2 (KS2) students. Unlike religious groups, Humanists do not view sacredness in terms of divine objects or places. Instead, they find meaning in human relationships, ethical values, and the natural world. This document introduces young learners to the idea that respect and significance can be attributed to human experiences and moral principles without religious context, promoting an inclusive understanding of what people hold dear.
