Looking Beyond

LOOKING BEYOND 

We have decided to choose the title of “Looking Beyond”. In our drawing, we have a man who is growing towards the end of his life; he is wondering what actually happens after death. 

As you can see, there are three thought bubbles, each showing a different religions perspective of life after death (this terms topic). The religions are: Hinduism, Christianity and Muslim. You can also see that there is a quote saying “Live your life to the full”. This is for the perspective of Humanism. 

In the left box, we have got Hinduism, showing reincarnation. There is a person with arrows pointing to an animal or being one with God: Moksha. The way to determine which life they will go to is through good karma and bad karma. Below, we have drawn a river with a quote inside: Flow to the next life, as Hindus throw the ashes of dead bodies into the river. 

In the middle box, we have got Christianity showing Heaven and Hell. In Heaven, there is a palace to show the palace of God with eternal happiness. We have used gold to create this; we think it looks like the presence of God. For hell, it is eternal depression. We haven’t drawn fire as most people think. It is just full of sadness. 

In the right box, we have got Muslim showing the seven levels. In the bottom level, we have designed fire and angels tormenting a man who hasn’t been following God’s rules. In the next level, we have got people surrounded by darkness. Above that, the people are standing in the flood of their own tears as they are so sad. In the next four boxes we have got the colours of people gradually getting to gold.
